Officials released the latest standardized test results for public schools around New York State Wednesday. State Education Commissioner John King says the results represent a new baseline for a more rigorous testing standard and that the success of our economy, local and national, depends on students testing success and better scores.
You can search the database for the results from each WNY county. You can view the scores by invididual school or view the entire district. The amount of students "Proficient" was calculated by News 4 as the amount of students who fell into the Level 3 or Level 4 percentile. See definitions for each Level below.
Level 1: Student is well below proficient in standards for this grade level
Level 2: Student is below proficient for this grade level (partial but insufficient)
Level 3: Student is proficient for this grade level
Level 4: Student excels in this grade level
