BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - So many people showed up for Genesee County's Flu Vaccine Clinic, health officials had to hold the doors open for extra hours to get everybody in.

"I have numbers and I am giving them out!"

Grab a number and stand in line.

Hundreds of men, women, and children braving the rain, cold, and even snow flurries.

Most adults got shots for the seasonal flu.

Small children were given the nasal mist and high priority groups, such as pregnant women were in line.

While the vaccine shortage could lead to more lines such as the one Thursday night, parents across Genesee County sounded the alarm when they learned Tuesday, Jared Peters, a 5th grader at Pembroke Intermediate School in Corfu, died from the H1N1 virus.

Fortunately, health officials said, everyone who stood in line got their vaccine.
