(CNN) - The taxpayer-funded Medicare and Medicaid programs are falling victim to billions of dollars of fraud each year. Surprisingly organized crime is grabbing a large cut of the action.

For organized crime it's safer than running drug, prostitution or gambling rings. Federal agents in Los Angeles last week arrested two Nigerian members of an organized crime ring.

They were charged with defrauding Medicare of six-million dollars.

"They are definitely well-organized, well-schooled in how to commit Medicare
fraud."

Organized crime groups of multiple ethnicities and nationalities are muscling in on the action in health care fraud hot spots like Los Angeles.

One undercover sting, even caught a man giving instructions on how to set up bogus medical clinics that bill Medicare using stolen doctor ID’s.

Allan Chernoff has more on this shocking abuse of Medicare and Medicaid in this internet video health report.
