BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Schools in New York State will be able to apply sunscreen to students without a doctor's note this year.
The State Education Department issued what it calls "new guidance," dropping the requirement for a doctor's note for sunscreen that doesn't treat an injury or illness. Parental permission will still be required.
