TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Residents who live near the Tonawanda Coke plant will voice growing concerns about hazardous waste.
Residents will gather Monday at the Kaufman Playground, near the Coke plant.
They will be able to ask questions of the plant's owner as they call on the State DEC for assistance.
The Clean Air Coalition of Western New York has written letters to the DEC and EPA, asking about the quantity, handling and transportation of tar sludge at the plant.
