HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) - A wounded war hero from western New York is returning home for the first time since he was injured in Afghanistan.
Marine Staff Sergeant John Stanz was critically injured when an I.E.D. exploded under his military vehicle in August. He's had extensive treatment and rehab ever since, most recently in Philadelphia, but his parents are flying home with him on Tuesday, December 15th.
