BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo Police say that what started as a dispute eventually led to a double stabbing. Authorities say a 49-year-old man broke in and stabbed a man inside one apartment, then went to another apartment and stabbed a woman there.
News 4 cameras arrived at 531 Franklin Street near North just as the victims were being treated and rushed to ECMC.
A 49-year-old man is being charged with burglary, assault and weapons possession.
Investigators remained on the scene early Wednesday morning, trying to figure out what lead to the incident.
One man, who lives in the neighborhood, said that while this is a frightening situation in Allentown, it doesn't surprise him.
"I heard about a lot of crack, people are dealing crack out of here and God knows what," said neighbor Robert Scibran. "I'm always looking out my window and seeing people going by wondering if everything's safe for me and my neighbors."
