Warsaw fatal crash due to wintry roads

Crash claims life of 48-year-old woman

WARSAW, N.Y. (WIVB) - The New York State Police in Warsaw are currently investigating a two car motor vehicle accident that lead to the death of a Perry woman.

The accident occurred shortly before 8:00 am Wednesday morning on Rt 20a near Smith Road in the Town of Perry. A Chevy S10 pick up truck driven by Stormie Myers, 28 years old of Perry was traveling westbound on Rt 20a when she lost control on the slippery roadway and crossed into the eastbound lane striking a Dodge Caravan traveling eastbound.

The front seat passenger of the pick up Susanne Bzduch, 48 years old of Perry was pronounced dead at the scene by Wyoming County Coroner Michael Smith. The back seat passenger, Jaclyn Crowley, 22 years old, also of Perry was transported to Wyoming Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Caravan, Danielle Heubusch, 36 years old, from Warsaw and Ms. Myers were both transported to ECMC with non life-threatening injuries.

At this time the accident does not appear to be criminal however, the investigation is ongoing.
