City to send out tax, sewer rent bills

BUFFALO, N.Y. (RELEASE) - The Department of Assessment and Taxation will be mailing 2010-2011 Buffalo City Tax and Sewer Rent Bills to all property owners in the City of Buffalo on July 1, 2010.

To ensure proper delivery, it is requested that property owners who have had address changes within the past year send notice in writing immediately to the Department of Assessment and Taxation, 65 Niagara Square, Room 121, Buffalo, New York, 14202, or by facsimile (FAX) transmission to 716-851-5757.

In the event that a property owner fails to notify the Tax Office, the 2010-2011 City of Buffalo Real Property Tax and Sewer Rent Bill will be mailed to the address that appears in the property ownership records of the City of Buffalo Department of Assessment and Taxation.

The entire Buffalo City Tax and /Sewer Rent Bill with all payment stubs attached will be mailed on July 1, 2010. All payments must be received on or before listed due dates to avoid penalties. See below for mailing and payment dates.

BUFFALO CITY AND LOCAL TAXES
July 2010 city tax installment and local taxes - Due August 2, 2010
December 2010 city tax installment - Due January 3, 2011

BUFFALO SEWER RENT
2010 sewer rent installment - Due September 30, 2010
