BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - After Labor Day, good flight sales are hard to find. News 4's Melissa Holmes has two great ones to share with you, and advice for Thanksgiving travel deals, in Wednesday's Savings 4 You.
Jet Blue is having it's Summer's End Sale with one-way flights starting at just $39. You can fly from Buffalo to Boston at that price, or to New York City for just $59 each way. The sale ends Thursday and travel is good through December 15th.
There's a similar sale with Southwest right now. Flying from Buffalo to Baltimore and Chicago will only cost you $59 each way, and prices to other cities go up from there.
Like the Jetblue sale, with this Southwest sale you have to book by tomorrow and travel through mid-December.
Here's one more unfortunate similarity. Thanksgiving travel is blacked out in both of these sales. Some advice? Go to wesbites like Yapta and enter your travel info so they'll start tracking flight prices for you and let you know when prices go down. And become friends with airlines on Facebook or follow them on Twitter, so you'll find out about exclusive sales.
