Time Warner and MSG fail to reach deal

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - As expected, Time Warner and MSG did not reach a deal by midnight on a new re-transmission contract which resulted in the cable giant blacking out the sports network just hours after Saturday night's Sabres game against Ottawa.

Both sides can't agree on how much Time Warner should pay MSG to carry its programming.

The Sabres play Tuesday night at home against Edmonton.
