ROCHESTER, NY (WIVB) - Wegmans, which is known for its sprawling supermarkets, is planning a smaller urban-concept store for the Boston, MA suburb of Newton.
The new store will be about 15,000 square feet smaller than a typical Wegmans market.
The supermarket chain is building the store in the Chestnut Hill Square development which includes specialty shops, a fitness club and luxury residences.
The Rochester-based Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is a 79-store supermarket chain with stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts.
