A small town recovering from a horrific plane crash held a special ceremony Saturday for the families of Flight 3407.

News 4 spoke to one of those family members, who says she's in search of something that will offer her a sense of comfort in the face of immense tragedy.

Jennifer West, who's husband died in the crash said, "It's the one symbol of our love that I have and I know he wore it to the end."

Jennifer West is talking about her husband's wedding band.

"It would mean the world for me to have it so I can keep it with me at all times," she said.

Her husband Ernie died in the Flight 3407 tragedy.

This past June, Jennifer and another widow, Robin Tolsma looked online for items that may belong to their husbands.

The company that retrieved some personal items from the crash is posting more belongings on their website Monday.

Meanwhile Jennifer and her daughter Summer are trying to stay upbeat this Labor Day weekend.

"The community in Clarence is incredible. For them to do all these things in memory of the victims, it warms your heart," West explained.

A new street clock, that was in the works to mark the town's 200 year history has now been dedicated to the victims of Flight 3407, a fitting tribute to those still heart broken."

Chairman of the clock project, Tim Pazda said "Time heals everything, all though it will never heal their wounds, the symbolism is perfect."

Clarence Town Supervisor, Scott Bylewski said there's a lot of healing going on in this small community.

People are adjusting to what he calls, "a new normal".

"They're getting used to changes that have occured. Overall the spirit's have been up. I truly appreciate the hard work and effort of the community for coming together," Bylewski said.
