Earth Week Events

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - You may have seen some of the hundreds of Western New Yorkers kicking off Earth Week events on LOCAL beaches, creeks and roadways.

Three groups organized the day's events with volunteers from many local service organizations.

4/18 Gallagher Beach Sweep w/ Congressman Brian Higgins (8:30 am-12 noon)

4/22 WNY AmeriCorps & Home Depot Launch $60k "Keep our Neighbors in Good & Green homes" Initiative (8am- 4pm) Kick off at 2100 Elmwood Avenue.

4/23 Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve Trail Clean Up (9am-12noon) 93 Honorine Drive, Depew

4/24 2009 Buffalo Envirofair (11am- 2pm) Niagara Square

4/25 Olmstead Park Big-Clean (8am-12:30 pm) Marcy Casino in Delaware Park

4/26 MLK Park Beautification w/ Antoine Thompson (11am-1pm)
