Failed robbery attempt at posh hotel

NEW YORK (CBS) - A failed robbery attempt at New York's posh Waldorf Astoria has landed a security guard in the hospital.

Police say a man walked into a jewelry store in the Manhattan hotel and smashed two display cases.

The guard was then shot in the chest while wrestling the suspect to the ground. He's currently being treated for non life-threatening injuries. The suspect has been arrested.
