NEW YORK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Governor David Paterson could be one step closer to filling Hillary Clinton's U.S. Senate seat.
The Governor interviewed Senate hopeful Caroline Kennedy Saturday at his Manhattan office.
Paterson has been meeting with a series of candidates looking to fill the seat that will be vacated if Clinton is confirmed as President-elect Barack Obama's Secretary of State.
Congressman Brian Higgins is also said to be in the running.
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, who was once considered a contender, is not on Governor Paterson's short list.
