NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Autopsy results are complete from Monday morning of the deaths of 27-year-old William Jakobi, 22-year-old Adam Tafelski and 25-year-old Victoria Eikenburg and the manner of death is pending toxicology.
The three were found dead last Saturday in Niagara Falls. There was no trauma found that would have caused a fatality. They all ingested and vomited apparently the same substance and it has been referred for testing.
It has been inaccurately reported in the Buffalo News and picked up by wire services that the cause of death was ingestion of fentanyl patches. That information is not necessarily correct.
There were other substances found on the premises which could have been ingested orally and caused the death of the three.
At this point there is not enough evidence to indicate that fentanyl patches were used, or that they caused their deaths. No evidence of patches were found in their mouths or stomach contents.
