BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Amherst man accused of gunning down a recent UB graduate faced a judge Thursday.
20-year old Damario Cordelius made his first appearance in city
court.
The judge asked News 4 to conceal his face because this is an
ongoing investigation.
Police say Javon Jackson was celebrating his graduation when he
was gunned down on Mother's Day.
His mother spoke with News 4 about the arrest of her son's
accused killer.
"My daughter made the comment, she said 'my brother has to rest in peace.' Well, I hope he has to rest in prison," said Jackson' s Mother.
On Monday, Jackson's roommate, 21-year old Jesse Garnett, was
also gunned down inside an apartment in Amherst.
Police have not made any arrests in that case, and say they
do not believe the shootings are related.
