BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The late-day rally came amidst reports President-elect Obama
will name New York Federal Reserve president Timothy Geithner as
Treasury Secretary.
An announcement is expected Monday.
A spokesperson for Hillary Clinton says the New York Senator
is on track to become the next Secretary of State.
If Hillary makes the move to Washington, two Buffalo
politicians are reportedly on the short list to replace her in the
State Senate.
According to published reports, Congressman Brian Higgins and
Mayor Byron Brown have emerged as two of three possible
replacements.
Hudson-area Congresswoman, Kirsten Gilibrand has also
