BUFFALO, N.Y. - A North Buffalo company will be shutting down sending thirty-seven workers to the unemployment lines. SPX Process Equipment, the WCB Flow Products of Buffalo, is undergoing a restructuring.
The company has filed with the State Department of Labor under the WARN system, notifying the state of its intentions of closing.
The plant workers to be furloughed are involved in manufacturing, including machining, polishing and shipping positions and office support positions. The company, which is located at 699 Hertel Avenue, produces valves and tubing.
Another nine workers involved in machining and polishing, and office support have been offered a transfer to an SPX branch in Rochester.
