Airlines bump up surcharge for tickets

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Get ready to pay up if you plan to fly over the holidays.

Delta, American, United, US Airways and Northwest have all bumped up a surchage for tickets on the busiest holiday travel days from $10 each way, to $20.

US Airways began the trend last week, and the others quickly followed suit.
