BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The suspected driver of last week's hit and run will be arraigned Friday afternoon in the Town of Amherst Court on two felony counts of leaving the scene of a serious injury accident.
The alleged driver is 30 year old Andrea Glinski of the Town of Tonawnada. Sources said she is the promotions director for Entercom Communications.
Officials tracked down her black Jeep Cherokee late Thursday night at Wally's Collision in the Town of Hamburg. Police brought the vehicle to the Amherst Police Station.
Officials said her boyfriend was a passenger in the car the morning she allegedly hit 22 year old Amy Stewart, who is in critical condition, and Rachel Baird who is listed in fair condition.
The two were crossing Main Street in Snyder when it happened.
Captain Patrick McKenna attributes the arrest to good police work. "We had a small piece of evidence at the scene, and were able to tie it to a vehicle and locate that vehicle at a repair shop. Were we lucky? I don't know, but we do a thorough job and we were extensively looking into all these possibilities, and it worked for us."
Police said they did interview Glinski's boyfriend but he has not been charged with anything at this time.
Glinski will be in the Amerst Court at 4 o'clock for an arraignment on two felony counts. News 4 will stay on top of this developing story and will have live reports from Rich Newberg at 5 and 6.

From Amherst Police: Captain Patrick McKenna, Commander of the Amherst Police Accident Investigation Unit, reports his investigators made an arrest late Thursday night, March 12, 2009 in the hit and run accident that left two college students with serious injuries.
Andrea L. Glinski, 30, of the Town of Tonawanda, was charged by Investigators Terrence Walsh and Robert McMahon with two counts of Leaving the Scene of a Serious Injury Accident, an E Felony, as well as two counts of Failure to Use Due Care With regards to a Pedestrian, a traffic infraction.
A break in the case came late Thursday afternoon after an auto parts store clerk called Hamburg Police and told them that a collision shop in Hamburg had ordered parts for a 2003 black Jeep Liberty.
The same store clerk had been contacted by Investigator Scott Lawida earlier that morning and told to be on the look out for anyone who may order front end and hood parts for any black Jeep Liberty.
That particular parts store was just one of several in the area that Lawida was making contact with. Amherst Police Accident Investigators went to Wally's Collision at 4324 South Park and obtained a search warrant for the 2003 Jeep Liberty. Glinski is being held for arraignment in Amherst Town court.
