Public update on Bethlehem Steel site

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A public meeting is planned for Thursday night in Lackawanna to update the environmental plans for the former Bethlehem Steel site.

The DEC will discuss the cleanup plans for part of the property known as the "acid tar pits and agitator sludge area."

The site along the Lake Erie shoreline is now owned by Tecumseh Redevelopment incorporated.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Lackawanna Senior Citizens Center on Martin Road.
