Raleigh, N.C. - Jason Pominville scored 2 goals in the Sabres 5-1 win against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Ryan Miller shut out Carolina for over 59 minutes before allowing a last-minute goal in.

Then the Sabres could only hope Philadelphia could score twice against the New York Rangers.

That didn't happen, so the Rangers are in the NHL playoffs and the Sabres are out again.
