Correctional employee charged with sex with inmate

ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) - On March 12, 2009, the New York State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation completed an investigation assisted by the NYS Department of Correctional Services Inspector General's Office which resulted in the arrest of a civilian employee at the Albion Correctional Facility.

Samuel E. Williams, 60 years old, of Darien Center, NY 14040 was charged with one count of Criminal Sexual Act in the 3rd Degree and one count of Official Misconduct.

Charges were the result of an investigation which revealed that during the fall of 2008,  Mr. Williams, a civilian employed in the industries program at the Albion Correctional Facility had inappropriate sexual contact with a female inmate which he supervised .

Williams was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Albion Court on March 24, 2009 at 6:00 PM.
