BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Frustrated taxpayers say it's time to make people in government accountable to the public.

Some of those taxpayers marched along Delaware Avenue in Downtown Buffalo in the second "tea party," protest in recent weeks.

Organizers say elected leaders need to act based upon what voters want instead of in their political party's interests.

"I do not believe it, I don't think they're listening, I don't believe they are going to listen, and I think they're going to have to take things a bit further," said Tony Matuszak, WNY Tea Party Coordinator.

"Give us liberty!" Shouted one protester.

Another protester shouted, "We're mad, and we're not going to take it anymore!"

Protesters at Saturday's event focused on the federal government.

Hundreds attended another 'tea party,' held back in March in downtown Buffalo.
