BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Somber tones and emotional voices marked the Friday services.

Thousands filled Buffalo's downtown streets to honor the heroes who never returned from their final call.

They came from around the globe, drawn by the brotherhood shared between firefighters who put their lives on the line every time the alarm bell rings.

A ceremonial flyover by the Erie County Sheriff's Air One helicopter captured an incredible scene from high above.
