BUFFALO, N.Y. - Members of the University at Buffalo community , faculty, staff, students, alumni and UB neighbors, will have an opportunity to view and offer feedback on a draft of a plan to dramatically redesign and reconfigure UB’s three campus centers at a forum to be held today, Wednesday, November 19, 2008, in 105 Harriman Hall on the UB South, Main Street, Campus.

Architectural renderings of proposed new campus buildings and landscapes will be exhibited throughout the day.   The images can be viewed and downloaded at Buffalo.edu.

Members of the media are invited to attend the session to be held from 8 to 9:15 a.m, where UB President John B. Simpson and Robert G. Shibley, UB professor of architecture and planning, will discuss the plan to give each of UB's three campuses, North, South and Downtown, a new identity and purpose, with the goal of making UB a great place to learn, work and live.

Shibley, who serves as UB senior advisor for campus planning and design, will be available for interviews after 9:15 a.m, upon request.  Another public presentation of the draft plan is scheduled for noon to 1:15 p.m.

The comprehensive physical plan is being developed as part of UB's plans to grow by 40 percent by the year 2020.
