Underage drinking hot line

BUFFALO, N.Y. Press release - An underage drinking tip line has come to Erie County. The tip line is anonymous, confidential and free. Concerned adults, teachers, students and friends now have a number to call 24 hours a day to report planned underage drinking parties; underage drinking parties taking place; or other activities that may be harmful to the health, safety and welfare of young people.

"By providing basic information such as location of party or estimated number of young people attending, a difference can be made, tragedy may be potentially diverted and lives saved," said Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard.

The tip line number is 1-800-851-1932.
