BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An automaker wants to help put a local hospital in the front seat for pediatric cancer research.

Hyundai "Hope on Wheels" is awarding Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo with a $250,000 grant. Dr. Matthew Barth is among 41 recipients nationwide. The money will help with his research of pediatric lymphoma.

"How to understand and treat lymphoma. In particular, developing new treatments to improve the success we've already had in treating this childhood disease," said Dr. Barth.

Some young patients at the hospital took part in Tuesday's check presentation by leaving their painted hand prints on a canvas.
