BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A popular Buffalo landmark is getting a $700,000 tune up.
The City of Buffalo announced Wednesday upgrades for Kleinhans Music Hall aimed at making the historic building more energy efficient, cutting the electric bill by nearly 60 percent and saving roughly 11 million gallons of water a year.
Mayor Byron Brown said, "This $668,000 might not be readily available and noticeable by the music lovers who come here to the music hall, it will make the enjoyment of the music, arts and other cultural events here much more comfortable."
Construction is set to begin this summer and be complete by next fall.
