BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - He helped bring America's pastime to downtown Buffalo.
Thursday night, supporters and friends of the late mayor Jimmy Griffin held a fundraiser at Pettibone's at Coca-Cola Field. They raised money to build a memorial statue of "hizzonor" in front of the ballpark, opened during his administration back in 1988.
