Buffalo has new sister city in S. Korea

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo now has a sister city in South Korea.

A delegation from Yeongcheon is in the area for a four-day visit. The group stopped by The Park School of Buffalo on Tuesday. Organizers hope this exchange of ideas will develop economic, cultural and educational opportunities for both cities.

Sister City Committee president Rebecca Reilly said, "It's a a very exciting time. We need to take advantage of the economic possibilities and get ahead of the pack and show that Buffalo is a world player on the world stage."

Buffalo is the first city in New York to establish a sister city in South Korea.
