BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The second of six open houses designed to give the public a chance to weigh in on the future of canal side ended early Thursday night because of poor attendance.

A Buffalo man did show up to share his vision for a huge statue on the site of the old Aud that could stand above a museum and aquarium.

Mark Farrell explained, "The idea is a globe, an atlas, a colossal statue with an illuminated globe. A beacon."
