TORONTO, ONTARIO (WIVB) - Downtown Buffalo is about to make a splash on the big screen north of the border.

"Henry’s Crime," starring Keanu Reeves, will make its word premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next Tuesday, September 14th at the Elgin Theatre.

The independent film, which is being billed as a comedy, is set in Buffalo and stars Reeves as a toll booth attendant who comes across a bank robbery only to be falsely accused of the crime. After spending time in prison, he and his former cellmate decide to rob the bank for real.

Several scenes for "Henry’s Crime" were shot last year in downtown Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Kenmore. Reeves also serves as the film’s executive producer.

In addition to its debut on September 14th, the film will also be shown Wednesday, September 15th at 12pm and Saturday, September 18th at 5:30pm at the VISA screening room inside the Elgin Theatre.

You can learn more about the film here.
