BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - What does the future hold for Buffalo's waterfront now that Bass Pro has cut bait?

It's one of the many questions floating around the site of the Aud, which was demolished to make way for the outdoor sports retailer. On Friday, Bass Pro announced it's pulling out of the waterfront anchor project. Congressman Brian Higgins, who recently gave Bass Pro a two week ultimatum to either ship in or ship out, says the revitalization is not dead in the water.

Rep. Higgins said, "We're moving forward. We're going to build the infrastructure that is necessary to unlock the economic potential of lands along the waterfront that have been economically dead for the past 50 years."

The Buffalo Common Council is expected to vote on the canal side land transfer this week. Mayor Brown blamed the Common Council for Bass Pro's backing out.
