BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - We're learning more about a brutal attack overnight in Buffalo's Allentown neighborhood.
Buffalo Police are calling this a domestic dispute in an Allentown rooming house. It was witnessed by residents, including one who had the knife turned on him.
When News 4 arrived at the scene of the stabbing on Franklin Street near North, 45-year-old Tammy Gee and 50-year-old Robert Early were being treated for stab wounds. Police say it started as a domestic dispute between Gee and the man charged, Scott Robinson.
Boarding House Manager Stand Sidigursky said, "The way we understand it right now, it was a domestic violence issue. The gentleman got very upset with his girlfriend. He stabbed her and then he proceeded to stab another gentleman."
All were tenants in the building. Another tenant, John DiBari, gave News 4 a graphic account of what happened.
"He took the knife and plunged it in the chest of the girl. Plunged it in and there was the guy next door or heard all the screaming, yelling. He stepped out of his room. He seen the guy with the knife and he went to stop it, and they got into a big fight," said DiBari.
News 4 spoke to Robert Early, that second victim, by phone.
"I was woken by a commotion, and the guy (came) into my room at night, and the next thing I know I'm fighting for my life. That's the only thing I know, I was fighting for my life," said Early.
Early is an auto mechanic who will miss work because of stab wounds to his back and arms. Early believes he was stabbed because he was a witness. Tammy Gee is recovering from her wounds. She is listed in fair condition at ECMC. 49-year-old Scott Robinson is charged with burglary, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
