BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The trial has picked up where it left off last week. The prosecution is still calling witnesses to the stand, and about 50 members of the victims families and friends are here to watch the trial unfold.

This is the start of the second week of testimony in the Riccardo McCray murder trial.

The prosecution called Haywood Ticking of Charlotte, North Carolina to the stand. You might recall before McCray turned himself in at the News 4 studios last August, he fled to Charlotte. Ticking, who says he's only an acquaintance of McCray, testified that he drove him back to Buffalo with several others. He also said in the entire 10 hour drive, the City Grill quadruple murder and the police hunt for McCray never came up.

Also testifying, Erie County Deputy Medical Examiner at the time Dr. Mark LeVaughn. He testified victim Willie McCaa was shot in the back of the head from more than three feet away. He said Shauntia McNeil was shot in the side and bullet severed her small intestine and aorta.

McCray remained calm and just listened during the testimony.

The trial is continuing Monday afternoon and the prosecution is expected to call more witnesses throughout the day.
