Pegula to attend first game as Sabres owner

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - There's still plenty of buzz around the team as Terry Pegula gets ready to attend his first Sabres game as owner.

It seems like all of downtown Buffalo has Pegula fever.

Fans were at Sabres practice Wednesday morning, excited for the first game under Pegula's ownership.

There were a lot of fans inside the team store at HSBC Arena, Wednesday morning.

Fans are expecting it to be an exciting night inside the HSBC Arena, to welcome the Pegula family.

Fan Derek Paternostro said, "There's going to be a buzz about the team, it's not going to be just one day it's going to be weeks of buzz and I think that once that buzz starts to die a little bit, that's when you'll start to see some of those changes."

Sabres Coach Lindy Ruff said, "Yesterday was an exciting day. I think that emotion, you will see, I think we'll see a new energy inside the building. Our players obviously feel it."
