BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The pulse of the local job market is beating a little faster this summer.

New numbers from the State Labor Department show the Buffalo-Niagara region added 400 private-sector jobs in July compared to the same time last year. Rochester lost almost 3,000 jobs during that same time. Buffalo's unemployment rate now stands at eight percent.
