Murder rattles Perry Projects in city

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police swarmed the scene of a murder around Buffalo's Perry Projects.

Right now, there are two crime scenes. One is behind the Perry Housing Complex and the other is about a block and a half away down Fulton Street. Police have confirmed that one male was killed in that area Thursday night.

We were told the man was shot in the courtyard of the Perry Projects near Louisiana. He then staggered to Hayward, where he died from his injuries. Police also tell News 4 a vehicle pulled up to the crime scene and the people exited and opened fire.

Police are not being specific on which vehicle that was, but we can tell you at the second crime scene there is a blue van pulled over that is being inspected by police officers. Right next to the van on the ground is a gun.

Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge told News 4 two people are in custody and a number of weapons have been recovered. We will have the latest on WakeUp!
