Will HSBC leave its downtown tower?

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Is one of downtown Buffalo's biggest tenants ready to abandon its longtime home?

Real estate insiders tell the Buffalo News that HSBC Bank is considering building a sprawling campus-like office complex behind its atrium near HSBC Arena. It would move its local operations there once its lease in the HSBC Center Tower expires in 2013. HSBC says it's still exploring a number of options, including staying right where it is.
