BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Chilling words from police transmissions paint a clearer picture of the scene just after the Saturday morning shootings.

Dispatch said, "Four shots fired radio down here get some cars."
It was described as a chaotic scene on Main Street, and when police arrived early Saturday morning, they quickly realized they needed back up to control the large crowd of people.
"268 main street, City Grill, we just need to keep some of these people out of here," was said over police radio transmissions.
If you watch the included video, you can even hear the commotion in the background as officers called in.
Within minutes, first responders on the scene gave a chilling picture of what they were dealing with, eight shot and four dead.
"It looks like we've got four victims on the ground. And it's still a bit of a melee down here, we've got the cops, but get me two more pumpers, or whatever, 2 more crews, looks like four victims," it said over the scanners.
They quickly called for emergency responders to take victims to the hospital.
Dispatch said, "We're gonna need about four ambulances down here."
The crowd escalated, and police from every district were called to assist in the shootings on Main Street downtown.
"It's just pure chaos down here, just get down here and help, whatever you see going on, handle it," said dispatch.
Once the ambulances left the scene, police gave a warning to other officers who were on the air.
"They're bringing a few up to ECMC, can you have "E" district meet the ambulances there? Cause a lot of these people are leaving and going up there right now, it's gonna be a little crazy up there," said dispatch.
The audio transmission also mentioned a witness who saw a heavy set black male drop a gun outside a church on Pearl Street as well as a four-door red car speed away from the scene.
Buffalo Police will only say that they are making progress in the case and wouldn't comment on the radio transmissions.
