BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Some heavyweights from the gridiron showed their softer side Tuesday night at the Salvation Army in Buffalo.
Buffalo Bills cornerback Aaron Williams, quarterback Tyler Thigpen, wide receiver Ruvell Martin and tight end Mike Caussin spent the night making red, white and blue scarves with more than 50 children.
"I was once one of these kids. I wanted NFL players to come out here and help me make a scarf. I look at it as, when I was a kid, what I wanted as a kid. And now that I see that I make these kids happy it feels really special," said Williams.
The Bills and the Salvation Army have teamed up with M&T Bank for the "Gift of Warmth" clothing drive. You can drop off new, warm clothing at any M&T branch from now through December 30th.
