BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Easter is right around the corner, and many parishioners started celebrating the holiday a little bit early on Sunday.
The 2nd annual EasterFest kicked off Easter festivities at St. Casimir Social Center following a morning mass.
Features at the event included palm weaving demonstrations, an Easter lamb exhibit, a Polish Easter table display, egg artists, butter lambs, as well as bakers, pastry chefs, artisan cooks, and much more.
Father Czeslaw Krysa said, “At each place, they get a question to ask on what it means, for the person or for their faith, they get a stamp and then they get to take a little chocolate or something on that order, put it in the bag, and on the bag it says "Save for the Blessing," which means three weeks from now.”
Hands on workshops were also available for people to participate in which consisted of Dyngus dances, Easter music, and egg writing to name a few.
