BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The evolution of Buffalo's medical corridor is paving the way for healthier lives as a new procedure developed in western New York adds more firepower to the war on cancer.

Empire Genomics on Michigan Avenue has developed the very first test for multiple myeloma. This procedure can help determine the treatment of malignant blood cell cancer.

The new test will also create about 50-new jobs over the next few years.
