BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo Police are investigating a car accident involving one of their officers.

The accident happened Wednesday just before 3 p.m. at Richmond and Bird Avenues. A police cruiser and civilian car collided, and both drivers were taken to area hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
