Car smashes into Buffalo apartments

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An accident sent a car crashing into a Buffalo apartment building Wednesday night.

The car hit the Saint Clare Apartments at Main Street and Depew Avenue, not long after 11 p.m, doing some significant damage to the exterior. First responders say two adults and two children were inside, and that the children and one of the adults were taken to ECMC. Police have not released their conditions.

Witnesses at the scene say the children were not in car seats.

There was also a tense scene when a resident of the apartments was arrested after an argument with police officers.

Investigators haven't released information on the crash or the arrest.
