BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The city has received three proposals for the Webster Block along Buffalo's waterfront.
The 1.7 acre parcel is right next to the First Niagara Center. Right now it's nothing more than a parking lot. Ellicott Development, TR Browning Architect, and the Buffalo Sabres have submitted plans.
Executive director of the mayor's office of strategic planning Brendan Mehaffy said, "The hopes and dreams of the developments of the site were laid out in the proposals. So what the city of Buffalo has been looking for is something that's going to build on and compliment the development that's been happening at Canalside."
The details of those three proposals were not released on Wednesday. A developer is expected to be selected in August.
