BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, a long-time fixture in upstate NY cities Syracuse and Rochester, is close to a deal that will bring it to Buffalo.
Director Jim Clancy tells News 4 the eatery known for barbeque, blues and a honky-tonk atmosphere is five to six weeks away from finalizing a lease in the Queen City. Clancy would not venture to say where the restaurant would be located, other than that it would be within the city limits. He did told News 4 that Dinosaur BBQ has been looking to move into the city for the last three years, and the last time he was this close to finalizing a deal was in a venue on Seneca Street.
Besides Syracuse and Rochester, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que also has locations in Harlem, Troy and Newark. Western New York residents who haven't ventured to any of the restaurant's locations might have tasted the limited menu it brings to the Taste of Buffalo each year.
